MIKES ACADEMIC LEAGUE VARSITY TEAM MAKES THEIR OWN LUCK & GETS SOME HELP TO QUALIFY FOR THE PLAYOFFS ONCE AGAIN.

 

The Carmichael’s Varsity Academic Team finished the regular season strong going 2–0 and earning the 4th seed in the Tri-County Academic League playoffs.

 

The Varsity team won both matches against Albert Gallatin and Jefferson Morgan earning 4 team points out of a possible 4 points.

 

The varsity team defeated Albert Gallatin 40 – 37; Captain Christina Adams lead the team with 12 points; Kloee Connelly & Zach Hillsman each added 8 points; Hailey McMillen earned 6 points for the varsity team. The team earned 6 additional points in the two lightning rounds.

 

The varsity team defeated Jefferson-Morgan 47 – 36; Captain Christina Adams again led the team with 12 points; Zach Hillsman contributed 7 points; Kloee Connelly earned 6 points; Matt Wilczynski added 4 points and Hailey McMillen helped with 2 points. The team earned an additional 16 points in their two lightning rounds.

 

The varsity will square off against the top-seeded Waynesburg in the first round of the playoffs scheduled for Wednesday March 4th 2020.

 

MIKES ACADEMIC LEAGUE JV TEAM MAKES TAKES CARE OF BUSINESS GOING 2–0 AT MATCH 4 HOLDING THEIR SPOT IN THE PLAYOFFS.

 

The Carmichael’s JV Academic Team finished the regular season strong going 2–0 and earning the 4th seed in the Tri-County Academic League playoffs.

 

The JV team won both matches against Albert Gallatin and Jefferson Morgan earning 4 team points out of a possible 4 points.

 

The JV team defeated Albert Gallatin 43 – 38; Jack Chadwick led the team with 23 points; Jonah Smith contributed 10 points; Lauren Dobish added 2 points. The team earned an additional 8 points in their two lightning rounds.

 

The JV team defeated Jefferson-Morgan by one question 37 – 36 qualifying for the playoffs by that single question; Jack Chadwick led the team with 16 points; Jonah Smith contributed 6 points; Jacob Fordyce earned 5 points; and Lauren Dobish added 2 points. The team earned an additional 8 points in their two lightning rounds.

 

 

The JV team will square off against the top-seeded Uniontown in the first round of the playoffs scheduled for Wednesday March 4th 2020.
