Congratulations Class of 2020!
With Governor Wolf moving Greene County to the green phase on June 5, 2020, the Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony has been updated to still stay within the state guidelines that large gatherings are to be under 250 people and still following the CDC guidelines. The Class of 2020 graduation ceremony is still scheduled for June 5, 2020 at 8:30 PM on the football field. We are excited to announce the graduates will be seated together on the football field. Each family will receive two tickets for two family members to sit in the family section on the football field. Additionally we will still provide two car tags to admit 2 cars per graduate to enter the field for other family members. Tickets and car tags will be given directly to students at graduation practice. Mandatory graduation practice is June 4 at 10 AM for students. Directly after graduation practice at noon there will be a graduation car parade. More details about practice and the parade will be coming soon.
The graduation ceremony is traditional with the only exception being no formal music performance of the band/choir due to school shutdown and large gathering limits. Additionally we have worked to have a large projection screen on the pressbox with FM sound in the vehicles. There will also be livestreaming on YouTube for guests who can not attend. Spellman’s Photography will be there to take professional pictures of the graduates receiving their diplomas and Sarah Smith Photography will also be onsite taking pictures.
Graduation is in one week!!! Teachers and staff miss the Class of 2020!! This video was created by the faculty and staff of the Carmichaels Area School District to express how proud we are of our seniors, as well as allow us to wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. https://youtu.be/IthPWSwt-qc
